But thankfully she has Ozy, one of the most loyal friends anyone could ask for. Book Ozy and Millie: Perfectly Normal Review :

I am a relatively new fan of Ozy and Millie, though the series has been around since the late 1990s. It's basically Calvin and Hobbes but with a slightly political edge, and some furriness on top of it. In this colored collection and the previous colored collection of the strip, "Ozy and Millie," the selection of storylines are much less referential to people and events today's generation wouldn't get (one of the later strips in the original series had a reference to Darryl Worley of all people). Callbacks to 90s and 00s culture are kept to a minimum, and though this gave the original strip a bit of an edge, the characters and scenarios Simpson produces are charming enough to stand on their own, especially the two title characters and the quirky, facetious dragon Llewellyn (who, by the way, ranks as one of the top dragons in fiction in my book). You won't necessarily have to know what the dotcom bubble was, like you would in the original series, to get the most out of this collection.A couple of things hold this collection back, neither of which would be a problem for old fans but may be for younger readers. The first is some minor color blemishes that most people wouldn't notice much anyway, and the second is the level of writing. This is a well-written strip, to be sure, but in true Calvin and Hobbes fashion, Ozy and Millie use vocabulary and syntax well beyond that of their age group. While this won't be a problem for most readers, younger readers may struggle a little in comprehending some of the philosophical humor. The glossary provided in the back section is a nice touch, but jokes are just less funny when they have to be explained and researched. These strips are definitely best enjoyed by early teenagers onward, but there's still enough accessibility that younger readers will enjoy the silly stories, Millie's expressiveness, and the character designs.Keep in mind that I am reviewing this as a collection, not the strip as a whole. I quite enjoyed this collection and even moreso the strip in general. Seeing such likable and memorable characters in color was a treat and I'm happy a new generation will be introduced to Ozy and Millie through this collection. It resonated with me and I hope it attracts the newer fans it deserves.
As a long-time fan of Ozy and Milly, I am so happy that my two favorite foxes are being republished for a new audience. Dana Simpson did a great job of picking strips that will appeal to a new audience. And the glossary in the back is a great addition. My 11 yr old daughter thinks that this book is funny and has relevant humor.
