Before starting this book I suggest you read "Drilled" first as this story picks up at the end of that book. Since the beginning of this "follow-up" series, the Crew has been pulled in different directions and on the verge of unraveling. In this addition Kayla's life goes up in flames and it will take all the Crews to help her. The ending of this book left me wanting "Pound" to come out immediately so I could find out what happens next! Luckily I am a patient person Ms. Rylon... I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book as well as purchasing a physical copy which I am voluntarily reviewing. The last book ended on such a sad note I knew there was nowhere but up.This book continues on directly after Drilled ended. There was a wildfire that engulfed Dave and Kayla's home and business while they were out of town with the crew. When they return they find nothing is left. The twenty years Kayla had owned and worked the land has gone up in smoke. She vows to rebuild again in the same spot and think if they get started right away they can be open in a year. However once it is looked at by the insurance agency and others will they agree?Trying to help keep her mind off things Dave is doing everything he can to hold Kayla and his portion of the group together. Luckily the other members of the crew have opened their arms and homes to them in Middletown. That is where half of the crew is currently working on several big jobs with the potential for so much more, not to mention more than just their group is there. There are the other families as well.
